Cultural Resource Survey
The cultural resource survey was a three year project conducted by the historic preservation board with the help of a $15,000 matching grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museums Commission. The project involved using volunteers to canvass the community, taking photographs and documenting information about the architecture and other significant features of every house in Mt. Lebanon 50 years old or older. The database that houses the information will eventually be available to the public. The survey provides a foundation on which the historic preservation board can build formal preservation efforts.
