The Friends of Mt. Lebanon Library & The Historical Society of Mount Lebanon Present:

Robert J. Gangewere, former adjunct professor of English at Carnegie Mellon University and former editor of CARNEGIE magazine for three decades, will discuss his new book “Palace of Culture: Andrew Carnegie’s Museums and Library in Pittsburgh.” This far-reaching history of Andrew Carnegie’s lasting gifts to the Steel City and their worldwide influence examines the Carnegie Institute’s four distinctive museums and separately operated system of libraries. Mr. Gangewere will sell and autograph copies of his book starting at 7 p.m. The program begins at 7:30 and will be followed by a Q&A with Mr. Gangewere. This program is the Friends of Mt. Lebanon Library’s Annual Meeting and part of the Historical Society of Mount Lebanon’s Speaker Series.

Refreshments will be served.
This event is Free.
Copies of his book, "Place of Culture," about the museums and library, will be available for sale and Bob will be signing books.  A copy of Robert Gangewere’s book “Palace of Culture” will be raffled off along with other door prizes.
